First Blog: Location of Rwanda on the Globe and the map.

The field of cartography has two general categories: general cartography and thematic cartography. General cartography involves those maps that are constructed for a general audience and thus contain a variety of features, and thematic cartography involves maps of specific geographic themes, oriented toward specific audiences.Rwanda is only two degrees south of the equator, but its high altitude means temperatures are seldom extreme generally in the 70s F/22-27 C during the day and the 60s F/16-21 C at night, expect frost in the high mountains. Cartography allows us to better understand country location and characteristics.

In conclusion, it is obvious that with the maps we can understand the reason why we have changes of season. Just Because the earth revolves around the sun in 365.24days, we all around the world can figure out different nation might have. According to the map, Rwanda is bound by Uganda to the North,Tanzania to the East,Burundi to the south, Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire) and Lake Kivu to the west. People were able to know how much distance is between Rwanda and and the neighbor countries to travel it by foot.
